Similar to last weeks theme. This week I am going to give you 3 tips to posting compelling content on your Twitter feed that people want to read.
Tip #1: Keep it short!
Twitter is designed to give their audience as much information using the least amount of information.. Makes sense right? If you want to share a particular blog or story. Write a quick description of it on your Twitter and just link the website below in your Tweet.
Tip #2: Use Visuals in your Tweet.
Lets say you found a really interesting blog called Technologyhrdblog and you would like to share it with the world. Well go ahead and post a link to it on your Twitter page. To attract more viewers I recomend you add a photo, video, or GIF to your Tweet.
Tip #3: Communicate with people on your Twitter.
It can be easy to forget that Twitter is a public forum were you can not only post interesting blogs, news articles, and videos. But you can also talk with others and share your thoughts with them. Engaging with your followers is important so set aside some time to get to know them.
This was my 3 top tips on on what to Tweet. Comment below your tips on what to Tweet!
Hey, I appreciate the tips and would say they’re spot on. I think short and sweet is great, which is why Twitter only has so many allowable characters. I don’t love long Facebook rants anyways, so Twitter is great to avoid those. My only concern is that I’m unsure of how to add photos and gifs and such after we’ve learned about Copywrite. I’m a little scared of breaching that if I add something I’m not allowed to. Any advice would help from anyone on that. Is there an easy way of navigating that?

I never thought about using photos in tweets. I guess the few tweets I have seen are on TV news and they don’t have pictures. I will need to see if I can do it. I think next week is about using pictures and videos.

Matthew, I like your suggestions for tweeting. I am trying to add pictures to my tweets. This is a learning experience for a non tweeting, non Facebook, non social media person. I am starting to learn and expand my knowledge on how all this works.
